But like all things this year, we’re changing it up a bit. The 9th annual DC Brau Genuine Crab Fest Monumental Extravaganza will be a TO GO ONLY affair from the parking lot (3178-B Bladensburg Road, NE) at DC Brau on Saturday, September 5th from 12 – 4pm. Thanks to Alexandra for sending: “Elle (3221 Mt Pleasant Street, NW) is doing a taco pop-up this Tuesday for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had The tacos last week when they did a pop-up at Bammy’s in Navy Yard and they were BOMB!!! Here is the link to the Elle pop as they are only doing pre-orders here.

La Tejana is run by a Colombian woman and her partner who live in Mount Pleasant, so it’s a local business that people would be supporting.”

Update: “Alright DC, we can finally say it: DOORS OPEN WEDNESDAY, 8/26 at 7am!! and we cannot wait to meet you!”

Back in October 2019 we learned that Boston’s Tatte Bakery & Cafe would be coming to the former Meiwah restaurant, which closed after 20 years in May 2019. They’ll be opening the new space this coming ~~Monday the 24th~~ Wednesday the 26th. (more…)
