“the 1250 Half St. SE location officially opens on Oct. 5 and it is the restaurant group’s first two-story restaurant. Silver Social, a sophisticated upstairs bar with terrace overlooking Nationals Park, features craft cocktails and small bites for the over 21 crowd and will not officially open until the end of October. The downstairs Silver Diner will continue to finish up construction in off hours and with minimal diner interference.”

Thanks to Amanda for sending the update at the old Bun DC space: “I saw the word “Pinsa” painted on the wall so I looked it up and sure enough they have a website already! It looks great and will hopefully be a worthy addition to the neighborhood. It looks like Pinsa Place is being opened by the owner of the now closed Matt’s House of Kabob out of Rockville.”
Pinsa’s website says:

I’ve been watching the mural go up on the side of the coming Alice Bar & Lounge and Louise got a great shot above! Anyone know who the artist is?
Alice Bar & Lounge will have “a seating capacity of 90 and Total Occupancy Load of 325. Summer Garden on 2nd floor roof deck with Total Occupancy Load of 120.”

Back in March we learned that Chang Chang was coming to former Mai Thai space on 19th Street, NW.
“Chef Peter Chang and his daughter Lydia Chang announce Chang Chang, a new dual restaurant concept coming to the Dupont Circle neighborhood of downtown Washington D.C this fall.
