No injuries or damage to property reported.

Ruth reports: “Stabbing around 8am today near the corner of 8th and P Streets NW in Shaw.”

Shane reports: “It looks like it was actually at the SW corner of 7th and Q NW, that’s where CSI is currently swabbing blood. When I walked by an arrest was being made at 8th and P NW.”

“The Fifth District is investigating a shooting that occurred on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at approximately 1:14 AM in the 1200 block of Mount Olivet Road, NE.

Fifth District officers were in the area when they heard numerous gunshots. As the officers canvassed the scene, seven (7) victims were found at nearby locations, suffering from gunshot wounds. (more…)

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Tuesday, June 9, 2020, in the 1000 block of 15th Street, Southeast.

At approximately 9:43 pm, members of the First District responded to the 1500 block of K Street, Southeast, for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male, inside of a vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. (more…)

The victim reports that they were approached by 2 suspects, one of which had a gun, and they ordered them out of the car. The suspects then drove away in her vehicle. (more…)

“Detectives with the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, June 8, 2020, in the 7000 block of Piney Branch Road, Northwest.

Preliminary investigation revealed that at approximately 9:17 pm, a vehicle was traveling in the listed location when it struck a pedestrian. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the crash and determined the pedestrian displayed no signs consistent with life. The pedestrian remained on the scene until transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The decedent has been identified 21-year-old Timothy Abbott, of Northwest, DC. (more…)

“On 6/8/20 at approximately 02:44 a.m., First District officers responded to the 1200 block of I St SE for the sounds of gunshots. Immediately after the initial call, another call came in for a traffic crash in the block. Officers responded and found that a Dodge sedan had collided with two parked vehicles in the block and the occupant[s] had fled on foot. “The District of Columbia National Guard investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the operational employment of DCNG helicopter assets in and around the District of Columbia on Monday June 1 is underway.

The investigation is looking into whether the aircraft in question flew at inappropriately low altitudes and whether they adhered to applicable safety standards and flying procedures while in flight. The investigation will also explore whether military medevac aircraft bearing the Red Cross emblem were improperly or inappropriately employed to support DCNG civil disturbance response operations.
