Changes continue for Little Ricky’s which closed for summer vacation back in July. A liquor license placard has gone up under the trade name Gin Rummy stating they wish to:

“Request a class change from Retailer Class “C” Restaurant to Retailer Class “C” Tavern.”

A reader sends word after a bit of sleuthing that it: “does not look a change in ownership, just another change of restaurant type. I tried to peek inside, but didn’t see much. Bar is still in-tact, but all tables have been ripped out with quite a few wires hanging about (which would lead me to think they’re doing a decent gut-job.”

We knew this prime corner property couldn’t be sitting vacant forever – a liquor license placard posted out front finally reveal the plans for a:

Sports bar and grill, serving hamburgers, French fries, pizza and sub-sandwiches with a seating capacity of 41 inside. Total occupancy load of 50. Sidewalk café with 22.”

In June the eastern end of H Street saw the opening of Halftime Sports Bar but is still waiting for progress at Sin Bin sports bar across the street.

It’s located a few storefronts east of the recently opened DC Harvest:

@EdwardGarnett tweets us the photo above:

“@PoPville looks like McClellan’s Retreat is happening in the old Veritas space. Any details?”

I took a peek on my Sunday walkabout and was told then that they about 2 weeks from opening (close to 1 week out now). The women I spoke to said they’d be focusing on wine and cocktails. This is the former Veritas Wine Bar that closed back in August.
