Suspect Arrested for Shooting Homicide that took place in Mount Pleasant two weeks ago

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the homicide that occurred in the 1800 block of Harvard Street, Northwest on Friday, September 18, 2015, at approximately 7:44 pm.

The decedent was identified as 25 year-old Charles Antonio Welch, of Fort Washington, Maryland.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 1:00 pm, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 27 year-old Antonio Brown of Suitland, Maryland. He was charged with First Degree Murder While Armed in the shooting death of Mr. Welch.”
