Suspect Arrested for Shooting Homicide that took place in Mount Pleasant two weeks ago

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the homicide that occurred in the 1800 block of Harvard Street, Northwest on Friday, September 18, 2015, at approximately 7:44 pm.

The decedent was identified as 25 year-old Charles Antonio Welch, of Fort Washington, Maryland.

On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 1:00 pm, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 27 year-old Antonio Brown of Suitland, Maryland. He was charged with First Degree Murder While Armed in the shooting death of Mr. Welch.”

  • Props to the cops. I had to google Suitland MD and Fort Washington MD. They are near one another, EOTR, south and east of Ward 8. Odd that this murder would take place in Ward 1.

  • This is so wrong no one ever mentioned that it was a kid in the car how do I know ? Because it was my son ! My son was in the car and had to see his father take his last breath how cruel of mr Antonio brown right in front of his son I pray u get the death penalty
