One of the more unusual signs I’ve seen. Thanks to Cait for sharing:
“unclear if this was because of yesterday? Sign says “for your convenience, this store has been emptied out.” (more…)

Oh no, we’ve been loving these every year since at least 2008. Thanks to all who messaged that they haven’t gone up this year (they are usually up by now.) Maybe they are concerned with accessing people’s units due to the virus? Fingers crossed they are able to figure out a way to put them up before the New Year!!

John actually sent on Friday but feels fitting for a Monday morning: “This was the second sign like this in the bike line on First street SE near the stadium. Somebody’s got jokes.”

Thanks to Elaine for sending from Florida Avenue, NE near Union Market. Someone (The Pug?) shared this is on twitter last week and I think the sign originally had a typo that said “Fatten that curve”. Either way, oof.

“Dear PoPville,
I was in line [Wednesday], November 18, to get a COVID test at Judiciary Square from about 9-11am (in the FRIGID cold) and a guy caught my eye standing a few places in line behind me. Unfortunately, given the circumstances (trying to stay warm/alive, 30-foot distance between us, etc) I wasn’t able to break the ice with him – pun intended. I’m hoping I can make contact with him and see how accurate my Good Guy radar is. (more…)

Thanks to Ana for sharing this curious find this morning: “FOUND: an entire pizza in Dupont. Hope it’s reunited with its rightful owner.”
It can’t be just me who thinks that looks delicious…
