From Home Rule:

“As we begin 2019. we at Home Rule have decided that, after 20 wonderful and fulfilling years, it is now time for us to pursue new opportunities and adventures. Home Rule will be closing on March 31, 2019.

For 20 years our customers have supported and delighted us.

We are grateful for your loyalty and the many friendships we have made over the years. Additionally, we are grateful to all of our many dedicated team members, more than 50, who worked with us over the years and helped make Home Rule the friendly, vibrant, and diverse store that it has become.

We have diligently worked to be the best small neighborhood store we could be. In doing so we nourished a community of neighbors, friends, and colleagues that helped us become a unique and significant presence in Washington DC’s retail landscape.

Home Rule will continue to operate through Sunday March 31st 2019 with closeout sales beginning Monday March 4th. Follow us on social media for our latest hours, sales schedule, and any updates. We’d love to have you stop in to say farewell and grab a few items on sale!

It’s always sad to say goodbye, but we’re also excited for the future and the new opportunities coming our way.

Thank you for all of your support and friendship over the past 20 years.”
