I was sitting in Dupont Circle having coffee, he came up acted like he did not know the city well and was new to DC from Astoria NY. Seemed professional and clean cut, intelligent and his story tracked as far as what he knew about NYC and his phone number was NYC area code. “On New Year’s Eve, fares will be free after 8 p.m. thanks to a partnership with Miller Light and Coors Light’s Free Rides Program, which will help revelers get home safely and responsibly. Faregates will be open from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. and no SmarTrip card will be needed. Bus customers will not need to tap between those hours either.

Wondering if anyone knows the date for the new WMATA buses? The announcement is clear as mud. It says changes start on Dec 15, but I have seen my old bus route (N2) running when I know it will be renamed and have the route changed. Trying to figure out the new schedule, but can’t even determine when the changes happen. Any insight would be helpful!”
I’m told:
“The new service will start June 29, 2025.
Updated schedules and trip planner will be released in spring.“

“The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) has recently completed a tissue study of fish caught in DC waters. Results of the study indicate that persons who eat fish caught in the District of Columbia’s Potomac and Anacostia Rivers need to consider eating less of those fish.
