I also encountered the coffee predator near Thomas Circle (January 29). As we were walking past each other he stopped and asked
if I knew of a Compass or a Peet’s in the area. I told him that I didn’t know. He followed up with “you seem like you know the neighborhood well.” Thankfully my lack of interest in talking to strange men on the street already had me walking quickly away from him. It wasn’t until I was walking away that I realized who he was.
He was medium height – 5-10″ ish – and medium build. Dark brown hair with a little grey and a beard.”
