“Dear PoPville,
Wondering if anyone else has had experience with the parking garage under The Chase at Bryant Street, run by Bozutto (680 Rhode Island Ave NE, Washington, DC 20002)
I was there on a Sunday two weeks ago for about 45 minutes to visit a retail location (District Dogs, they are amazing) that hadn’t completely opened yet. The parking garage is run by “Premium Parking” uses a confusing third-party app you’ve got to separately download. At the same time, the parking garage has no gates and also signs saying “Retail Parking Free!” (no specified time limit). There was even a garage attendant who said they didn’t know if the system was up and working. So I parked, did my errand, and left.
A week later this “citation” with a City of New Orleans seal shows up at my door. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
There is an out-of-state vehicle that was parked on our street in September and has not been moved since. Several neighbors noticed that it is leaking fluids and there is what appears to be an oil slick running right down into the storm drain. Unfortunately, I have called every DC agency and no one seems to have responsibility. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I’m tired of construction companies and DDOT running this city without consideration for residents. This Fort Meyer crew showed up and started digging enough to shake our houses at 7:52am. These signs aren’t even legal! Anyone else tired of dealing with construction? Can’t they finish a street before they start another one? I reported it to 311 and it will be investigated by June 9th.”

“Dear PoPville,
saw 2 cars getting booted in NW this morning. Looked like MD plates on both of them. I’ve heard DC has been struggling to enforce tickets/fines on out of town drivers – perhaps this is a step in the right direction?”
You may run but you can’t hide. Daily DPW tickets vehicles and boots and tows vehicles with three or more outstanding tickets. We’ve even found a car w/ more than $70K in tickets. If your car is parked on a DC street w/ tickets and violations sooner or later we will find you. pic.twitter.com/mbNjGSXJMk

“Dear PoPville,
There’s a new(ish) last week or so no parking zone on 17th between S and R that appears to have been changed from zone 2 parking in the past week or so.
It’s especially confusing as when they redid the street 3 months ago they eliminated roughly 15% of the parking but clearly painted boxes for where cars are allowed. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Where in NW DC can I park at a reasonable monthly rate? I really only use the car on weekends. Are any places “safer” than others? When I look at Google reviews, they all look awful with vandalism and whatnot. I am lookin for a place to park.”

Thanks to AS for sending from Petworth: “Someone seems quite angry! Not sure how they got a blank citation form.”
