Google is opening its first retail store in the region at 3235 M Street NW later this year.

The tech giant signed a 10-year lease for the 7,000-square-foot space with EastBanc, the majority landlord for Georgetown’s retail properties. EastBanc continues to be a catalyst for Georgetown, bringing in a mix of luxury, tech, fashion and in-demand brands from around the world to DC.”

Thanks to Analya for sending the great news about Fraiche at Tívoli: “I was happy to notice a new restaurant coming to the old Creole space on 14th street.”

Fraiche’s website says:

Fraiche (French for Fresh) is a fresh take on culinary fusion with inspiration from multiple cultures (including French, Cajun/Southern American, and Caribbean). Yesterday we shared the news that the new grocery store, Capitol Grocer, had soft opened, despite the snow, in Woodley Park. Thanks to Shawn for sending the latest a few storefronts down:

Via Roma in Woodley Park looks like it’s close to opening!”

Back in August we learned that Via Roma Pizzeria was coming to the former District Kitchen space in Woodley Park. Via Roma was previously located in Camp Springs, MD.
