From a press release:

“Beginning June 7th, DGS Delicatessen will offer a new, to go lunch menu available from 11:30 a.m. – 2: 30 p.m., Monday to Friday and 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The new and improved to-go counter will offer sandwiches like chicken schnitzel with dill mayo and bread and butter pickles and heirloom tomato with pickled red onion, sprouts and old bay mayo plus the acclaimed DGS pastrami and corned beef sandwiches.

On weekends, DGS will sell select varieties of Bullfrog Bagels by the dozen, along with cream cheese and house smoked salmon by the pound. New to the menu are bagel sandwiches; like the L.E.O with lox, eggs and caramelized onions or a classic fried egg sandwich with crispy pastrami and hollandaise.

The full menu, below, is only available at the sandwich counter and features items designed to travel well, especially when a more leisurely sit down lunch is not an option.

Back in February we learned that Buredo’s “Burrito-size sushi rolls” was coming to a second location in the former Pinkberry space. The first spot which opened last summer is located at 825 14th Street, NW. I stopped in to inquire about the Dupont space and was told they should be open in “4-5 weeks”. Sweet.

You can see their menu here.
