1309 F Street, NW
Heads up F Street lunch crew!! District Taco opened their first District location here back in 2012. Remember the old Funxion spot? Looking forward to seeing how the makeover turns out:

1213 Connecticut Ave, NW
Back in February we learned that Buredo’s “Burrito-size sushi rolls” was coming to a second location in the former Pinkberry space. The first spot which opened last summer is located at 825 14th Street, NW. I stopped in to inquire about the Dupont space and was told they should be open in “4-5 weeks”. Sweet.
You can see their menu here.

13th and I Street, NW
A reader reports:
“Devon & Blakely coming to former Port of Piraeus location on NE corner of 13th & Eye. They’ve been working on the interior for quite some time now, but today is the first I’ve noticed any signage.”

Thanks to Gregory Hudson for sending word: “Oh uh, well that stinks.”
That was fast. Melt Shop (grilled cheese) opened in the former Energy Kitchen space back in Feb. 2015.

1901 L Street, NW
And before Energy Kitchen it was formerly home to Asian Bistro with one of our favorite typos of all time:

906 F Street, NW
“Dear PoPville,
I just walked by the Amorini Panini and someone said that it is closed “indefinitely.” Their website is down. Have you heard anything about this?”
Ed. Note: Facebook hasn’t been updated since Oct. 2015 and Twitter since February. Their phone number rings without going to voicemail. Amorini Panini opened their first brick and mortar spot back in 2010. They previously closed one on 18th Street downtown. Updates when more is known.

Thanks to all who sent emails about the new signage. A worker told me yesterday that they are on track to open next week.

601 Massachusetts Ave, NW
A reader reports:
“Looks like another D&B will be opening at the corner of 6th and Mass Ave NW in the newly constructed Arnold & Porter, LLP building.”
Thanks to all who sent emails about this. You can see their 15th Street menu here.
