RASA, ‘Fine Fast Casual’ Indian Eatery, coming to K Street “slated to open in Winter 2019”

“Celebrated ‘Fine Fast Casual’ Indian restaurant RASA (1247 First Street SE) from dynamic DC-based hospitality duo Rahul Vinod and Sahil Rahman has announced that the popular eatery will be expanding their food footprint in the DC area with the addition of two new confirmed RASA locations including one in Mount Vernon Triangle (DC) – their second to open in the District in partnership with EDENS – and another in Crystal City (VA)/National Landing in partnership with JBG SMITH – making it their first RASA location to open outside of the District. In addition Rahman and Vinod are also thrilled to announce their new partnership with legendary Washington Redskins Tight End Vernon Davis.


475 K Street, NW

Featuring 1,400 square feet, RASA at EDENS’ CityVista (475 K Street NW) is slated to open in Winter 2019. As a DC-based national retail real estate developer, owner, and operator, EDENS added RASA to their curated selection of retailer partners to further engage the community. (more…)

“Muncheez Dupont Circle Opens 8/23 with Free Lunch for First 200 People”

“Muncheez, a Middle Eastern fast casual restaurant with locations in Georgetown and Tenleytown, announces the grand opening of its new Dupont Circle location on Friday, August 23, 2019. Located at 1317 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Muncheez Dupont Circle will open doors at 11:00 a.m., and the first 200 people in line will receive a complimentary bowl or signature pita.

The latest additions to the Muncheez menu feature a cauliflower pita made with French fries, lettuce, tomatoes and tahini and a lentil tabbouleh mezze. New components to the eatery’s popular bowls include lentils and baby spinach as a base and fried cauliflower as a protein, expanding the vegan and vegetarian options available for lunch and dinner. Signature Muncheez menu options remain, including chicken and beef shawarmas, hand-rolled spinach pies, kibbes and grape leaves, manakeesh, a Mediterranean-style flatbread, mini pizzas, Nutella crepes, and the option to build your own bowl. Just heard from one of the servers that Maison Kayser is closing their two DC locations at the end of next week.
