“Dear PoPville,

I saw the news a couple months ago about a number (8?) of Taylor Gourmet locations opening under new ownership. Just this morning a friend posted to Instagram about a new one in her building in Dupont, and I think the old one by the White House and one in North Bethesda are back open but I’m not sure. Do you have any intel on the locations that will reopen under the original name?

Early thoughts from readers on how faithful it is to the original would be interesting too.“

Hours are listed as Hours 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Update: Danielle reports, “They seem to open at 11:30, not at 9. We were pretty disappointed to see that breakfast butter chicken apparently is *not* happening.”

Union Kitchen Posts Liquor License Placard on K Street, Compass Coffee looks close to opening next door too

“Is anyone missing a fat pigeon in Petworth? Or any bird experts that can tell me why this guy has been sitting on my fence for the past 3 hours? It didn’t budge when my dog ran up and started barking at it. We almost never get pigeons in our yard.”

Ed. Note: I’ve written Sweetgreen for an update but haven’t heard back from them. In possible positive news I did hear that the W Street location has reopened.
