From an email: “On Friday, Jan 8th, Antonio Ferraro’s Napoli Pasta Bar will officially offer the Napoli Salumeria lunch menu for guests looking for a more casual to-go option. Expect to see gourmet Italian sandwiches, appetizers, and to-go pastas that have been, until this point, exclusively at the Arlington location.”

Just noticed that Bryson’s Cafe has removed their sign from 19th Street, NW between K and L. Originally opened as Moxie’s back in 2016, this space was previously home to Retrospect Coffee and Tea space and Java Green before that.

Thanks to Sarah for sending: “New sub shop “Compliments Only” coming to the JRINK space below Bodysmith (14th and R NW). I just walked by and checked, they’re thinking they should be ready to open end of this week.”

“Pete Sitcov has been making sandwiches since before streaming netflix was a thing. He got his start at the iconic Italian Store in Arlington, VA. After some time in professional kitchens he opened Yang Market in the Eckington neighborhood of D.C. bringing dope subs to Northeast. He then ventured off to be the sous chef at Coconut Club and spend some time with local favorite, & Pizza. “Dear PoPville,
On Friday, October 2 I passed by the Greek Deli on 19th and L. I know the downtown area has been greatly affected by businesses not reopening, so eateries along that area are suffering, but it really made me sad to see the Greek Deli also may succumb to COVID-19 economic woes. (more…)
