Lunch Alert: SANdwich LORENZO launches Monday

“After nearly three years in business and having survived last year’s pandemic mess, the team at San Lorenzo team has decided to start a new sandwich shop inside San Lorenzo during lunch hours.

SANdwich LORENZO will open on Monday, March 22nd. Hours of operations will be: 11 am until 2:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Orders will be available through DC to GoGo, Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats or via pick-up at San Lorenzo by calling the restaurant: 202-588-8954.

MENU

SANdwich LORENZO will feature simple sandwiches that Chef Massimo Fabbri grew up eating in Tuscany, made for him by his Mom when he was young. Here’s a sampling of what we’ll be offering:

SAVORY (served on a warm 10 inch baguette) $14 each.

Prosciutto

18 months aged Prosciutto di Parma ham with Burrata mousse, crushed tomato, 12 year old Balsamic and fresh organic lettuce

Mortadella

Roasted mortadella, aged Parmesan cheese, Saba vinegar and organic lettuce

Caprese

Fresh tomatoes, basil pesto, Buffalo Mozzarella and cracked black pepper

SWEET (served on round brioche bun) $10 each.

Nutella

Strawberries, Nutella ricotta, and hazelnuts

Fichi

Fresh figs, mint and fig jam

INSALATE e ZUPPA

The menu will also feature four simple salads and a soup of the day.
