From a press release:

“After making it through the most challenging period imaginable for restaurants with all locations intact, and now hitting record sales, HipCityVeg, the plant-based fast casual restaurant based in Philadelphia, is resuming its aggressive growth strategy this fall. The expansion will begin with a new DC location in Brentwood.

The restaurant group currently has brick and mortar locations in DC’s Chinatown and Dupont Circle. It will open a delivery only location, which the company calls a “Go Kitchen,” in NE DC’s Brentwood neighborhood on September 20th.

We got our first report at 10:58am from C., “columbia heights taco bell is open, my roommate was just inside the actual restaurant.” Thanks to Tenzin and everyone else for sending the good word. Tenzin notes: “alcoholic drinks are dine-in only!”

Phil with the magic: “It’s true, taco bell lives!” (more…)

I went at 10:30 a.m. to try to nab their inaugural Crunchwrap Supreme, but an employee told me they didn’t get everything they needed on their truck last night, so, “if not today, tomorrow.

STAY TUNED.
