To celebrate DC native Haili Blassingame’s debut novel, THEY ALL FALL IN LOVE AT THE END, Lost City Books is throwing a launch party themed around messy love stories. “Hudson is a sweet boy who is highly trainable, great on leash, loves a good cuddle, and is happy to just hang out all day sunning himself. I rescued Hudson on 3/22/24, the day he and 30 other dogs were scheduled to be euthanized due to overcrowding at a high kill shelter. Since then he has been decompressing and loving his life outside the shelter.

Things to know about Hudson:
4-ish years old, German Shepherd mix, 63 lbs

He loves to have a good chew on ball or toy but has no interest in chewing up anything he’s not supposed to.

He is smart, eager to please, and treat-oriented which makes him easily trainable- he has already picked up a few commands and he re-directs immediately.

He naturally loose-leash walks, does not have a strong prey drive towards squirrels, and politely meets (or ignores) dogs on walks.

He happily snoozes most of the day while I work and doesn’t display any signs of separation anxiety.

Hudson would make an excellent addition to any household.”

Formula One Fans – Mark Your Calendars!!

For the first time in Washington, DC, multiple watch parties over several weeks will take place in one destination, hosted in partnership with Events DC and DC Motorsport Community (DCMC).

These experiences, designed for fans and newcomers alike, will continue through the end of the year, enlivening all corners of Union Market District with participation from numerous local businesses as venues.

Leading into Red Bull Showrun on Pennsylvania Avenue on April 20, legendary driver David Coulthard will make a pit stop at Union Market on Neal Place to help kick off the event weekend. This community event will take place on Friday, April 19, from 2pm to 7pm in front of The Market, which will transform into a vibrant fan fest, featuring a live appearance by Coulthard and opportunities to view an F1 race car up-close.
