The first annual Consortium art show
For one weekend in September, a private mansion in Upper Georgetown becomes the most beautiful room in Washington. Work by women artists, hung salon-style the way Paris did it a century ago: floor to ceiling, frame to frame, every wall alive. Sculpture on the mantels. Paintings up the staircase. “DC Water has opened the new portion of the Capital Crescent Trail in Georgetown, serving as a detour around the Potomac River Tunnel Project construction site, west of the aqueduct. The next phase of work involves stabilizing the ground within the site in preparation for upcoming construction activities.
