Has anyone ever dealt with a gas appliance installation that did not have a permit pulled?
I had a high efficiency gas furnace installed in my DC rowhouse in December, replacing the same model that had stopped working.
After the install, I discovered there was a dc energy rebate ($700!) that I was eligible for, but it required the DCRA permit id in order to submit. (more…)

The proposed action involves the rehabilitation of 1.5 miles of Broad Branch Road, NW between Linnean Avenue, NW and Beach Drive, NW. The proposed action will improve roadway and drainage infrastructure conditions, enhance safety operations for vehicles, bicyclists and pedestrians, improve intersections and provide ADA-compliant sidewalks for the entire length of the corridor.(more…)
The DC Concert Orchestra presents Portraits in Time, the last concert in our season themed A World Mosaic. The concert runs approximately 90 minutes with one 15 minute intermission. DCCO commissioned a new work by DC composer Blair Goins. There will be interactive discussions with the composer Blair Goins at performance time and after the concert. Ticket patrol almost nailed about 8 cars on my street for parking in the wrong direction. 2000 block of 8th between Florida and V NW. The problem is my block had switched to one way during the construction of a new building which replaced Towne. The one way signs were removed about 2 months ago but people continued to treat it as 1 way. (more…)
