The owner of this vehicle on the 1700 block of P St NW says she arrive to find it like this this morning – that someone rammed into it driving it backward up onto the sidewalk and into this tree. “Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Major Crash Investigations Unit are investigating a traffic fatality that killed a teen in Northeast, DC.
The preliminary investigation revealed that on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at approximately 1:47 a.m., a teenaged girl was driving a Honda Pilot at a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate the traffic circle at Brentwood Road and Bryant Street, Northeast. (more…)

On Florida Ave NW between 11th and 13th, there’s a stretch of parking where cars always get broken into. On any given day, there’s 5 broken car windows on the sidewalk. Today seemed like double that. Take a look at this video. Hard to comprehend how the police have done absolutely nothing for years to address this. One of those camera poles would probably have a significant impact.”
