“Nationals fans attending Game 7 watch parties can take Metro home thanks to support from Pepco. Metro General Manager/CEO Paul J. Wiedefeld today announced that four stations located near major watch party events will remain open for entry after the system’s regular 11:30 p.m. closing time.

The four stations will remain open for one hour after the game ends, and trains will continue running on all lines until all customers have been accommodated.

After 11:30 p.m., customers can enter Metrorail only at the following locations: (more…)

“The World Series, presented by YouTube TV, is headed back to Houston for Games 6 and 7 (if necessary). Game 6 will take place at Minute Maid Park on Tuesday, October 29 at 8:07 p.m. ET and Game 7 is scheduled for Wednesday, October 30 at 8:08 p.m. ET.

With the Nationals needing just two more wins to bring home the first World Series title to D.C. since 1924, everyone in the DMV is invited to come out to watch parties at Nationals Park on both nights! (more…)

“For the first time since 1933, Washington D.C. will host the World Series as the Washington Nationals continue their 2019 Postseason run, starting with Game 3 of the World Series on Friday, October 25 at 8:07 p.m. The World Series continues on Saturday, October 26 with Game 4 also set to begin at 8:07 p.m. If a Game 5 is necessary, it will be played at 8:07 p.m. on Sunday, October 27. All games against the Houston Astros will be televised exclusively on FOX. ALL GATES will open at 5:00 p.m. for each game. Fans are encouraged to plan ahead and arrive early in order to enjoy the pregame festivities. Please see below for ceremonial first pitch details.

WORLD SERIES GAME 3 – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25

To honor the Nationals bringing baseball back to D.C. after a 33-year absence, Chad Cordero and Brian Schneider of the inaugural 2005 Nationals will throw and catch the ceremonial first pitch on Friday night. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I am a huge Nats fan, and after their win last night its looking like we could potentially win the World Series on Saturday night. Given how much I love the Nats, I choose to hand over thousands of dollars to live next to the stadium. Usually not worth it, but the chance to watch the World Series from my rooftop is once in a lifetime.

However, 1221 has now decided that residents can only pick ONE night to watch from the roof, we need to RSVP, and oddly enough we can bring two guests. Again, for only ONE game though. If I want to see Friday I can’t go on my own rooftop Saturday. (more…)
