“Dear PoPville,
I visited the Columbia Heights Target today, and half of the pharmacy section is now locked down. Found a similar situation in the bath section.”
Ed. Note: I am just going to share an anecdote. I am not defending the set up I am just sharing some potential context, the other day I was in CVS (near Politics and Prose, which also has laundry detergent locked up like this) and a guy walked in with two large garbage bags (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I’m in constant pain from my paper thin apartment walls, which lack soundproofing to the point where I can hear the conversations my neighbors are having and various noises from normal day-to-day activities, including the ones that should remain private. “Dear PoPville,
I live in Dupont off 17th street and for WEEKS there has been an unidentifiable loud squeaking noise [video/sound of noise after jump] (like a metal fan in need of wd-40 or a squeaky wheel on a shopping cart) somehow nothing has been done about it and I am unable to discern what direction it is coming from so I’m unable to find whoever or whatever is responsible. “Dear PoPville,
We are at wits end with dealing with a nuisance property. For the past two years, we have tried first to be neighborly and also to deal with the landlord but to no avail. In fact, both landlord and tenants have asked us to “stop bothering them”.
The issues: (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Something is working. The neighborhood has been a lot of quieter as of late. Saw where police busted two illegal ATV riders the other night.”
