From a press release:

“Nearly a decade ago, Raj Multani, opened Policy Restaurant in the 14th St corridor of Washington, DC. This corner restaurant marked the beginning of an exciting journey for this urban neighborhood which has quickly transformed into one of the nation’s capital most stimulating and enjoyable dining destinations. This fall, the Policy team is pleased to announce the restaurant’s recent renovation which will reveal a more sophisticated, daring redesign along with several new features in the restaurant and on the menu.

Back in September we noted that the first floor of MARVIN Temporarily Closed for “10 year anniversary prep.” Update from MARVIN:

“At our 10 year mark, we decided in August to renovate bistro at Marvin. With a couple months to reflect on it, we all realized that the true importance of Marvin is in the cultural and entertainment realm. After considering all of the ways we wanted to add to the neighborhood, we decided to re-open the first floor as Marvin Social- a small live music venue, offering good food and inventive cocktails serving the vibrant and diverse community of our neighborhood. The current schedule is here under “Marvin Social Performance Line Up”. In keeping with supporting our community, we’ve partnered with Joe Herrera to book local talent and Dwayne Morton, our beverage director, has been working hard on curating our cocktail menu to feature local distilleries.”

You can see the menu for Marvin Social + Roof Deck here.

“Dear PoPville,

I am hoping you might share the word and photos about my 2 missing bikes. They are my prized possessions and I am heartbroken that someone stole them this week. We went on so many cool adventures around DC and beyond together. If anyone sees these bikes, please call the DC police and report their location. The bikes have been reported stolen and serial numbers are with the police.”

On October 4th Pinz-N-Needlez wrote on their Facebook:

“With great thought and regret… I have to announce that as of Sunday, October 8, 2017 will be the last day of business at Pinz-N-Needlez Washington D.C.

Artist Information will be updated on the Shop website and facebook page soon to stay in contact with your artist of choice from the shop.

I would like to take this time to thank each and every last person that has come out to support the business over our tenure. It has truly been a blessing to be a vessel to bring so many different people from all different walks of life and create art and relationships that will last a lifetime.

Thank you to every last artist and collector that chose to make the shop home and contribute to our small part of history in this microcosm of life.

~Chris Mensah, artist/ owner”

Back in 2009 they moved next door. Their old space is now home to Service Bar.
