“Dear PoPville,

I had reservations for next weekend for a tour and tasting at District Distilling and last Monday got an email from Open Table that my reservation was cancelled and District Distilling is permanently closed. I have called them and no one picked up, but their website is still up and nothing has been updated anywhere else to say they are closed. Anyone have any idea what’s going on? Are they actually out of business?”

“Good news–it’s probably even *more* 14th Street than that.”

Anyway, I popped by on Saturday and was told they’ll be opening on Tuesday and to stand by for a grand opening party too. (more…)
