Ed. Note: Last week we learned that a Tatte Bakery and Cafe was planned for the City Ridge development too.

From a press release:

“With the kickoff of a new year, hiring for Wegmans Food Markets’ two metro D.C. stores is underway. Opening in the spring and summer, Wegmans is looking for more than 600 employees to join their Carlyle-Alexandria and Wisconsin Ave. teams.

Located in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge, hiring for more than 300 part-time positions at the 84,000 sq. ft. Wisconsin Ave. store is set to begin this week. Opening in the summer, part-time customer service roles are available throughout the store in culinary, merchandising, service, and perishable departments. (more…)

Looks like there was a break-in in Tenleytown District Taco and Roaming Rooster. Both glass front doors were shattered this morning and police tape surrounded. Police tape has been taken down now.”

Wegmans now hiring for First D.C. Location “scheduled to open in the summer of 2022”

“Hiring and training are now underway for Wegmans Food Markets’ first store in Northwest Washington, D.C. at City Ridge. Located at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Rodman Street, the store will be part of the historic building formerly occupied by Fannie Mae’s headquarters. The new store is scheduled to open in the summer of 2022. Wegmans plans to employ approximately 450 people at this location, including 150 full-time positions.
