“the time has come for us to shutter operations at the Chinatown location of Taco Bamba and Poca Madre”

Thanks to Caitlin for passing on the sad news:

“Friends and Loyal Guests,

Like so many other D.C. restaurants, the time has come for us to shutter operations at the Chinatown location of Taco Bamba and Poca Madre at the close of business on Friday, March 27.

I am incredibly proud of the food, beverages and experiences provided by my team, and I am incredibly sad that the current conditions no longer make it possible for us to serve Washingtonians at this time. The future of the restaurant industry is very uncertain. I hope our community, with the support of local officials, will find a way forward so that we may serve the D.C. community again.

The four Virginia locations of Taco Bamba will remain open to offer carryout and delivery service daily.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our restaurants and the entire restaurant industry. We need you now, more than ever.

Chef Victor Albisu”
