On December 12th we wondered if the Union Kitchen near the Convention Center had temporarily closed or “temporarily” closed?

Have you heard anything about whether Kinship is closing? I have been trying to make reservations for any date in January, and nothing is available. It really isn’t possible to imagine every 2 seat table is reserved for every day in January. I wrote directly to them, but haven’t heard back.”

Beginning Monday, December 1st through the end of the month, the Manischewitz shall flow, the dreidels shall spin, and fun will be had by most. Mercifully, Hanukkah arrives fashionably late this year (starting 12/14), giving us a solid two weeks to pregame and mentally prepare for the miracle of oil lasting eight days (or the miracle of us lasting eight shots).
