Baan Mae (1604 7th Street, NW) just opened up in the old Hanumanh space. It’s owned by the same people behind Thip Khao and the idea is to serve the kind of food you’d find in your Laotian mom’s kitchen. Food is fantastic and we really enjoyed the creative drinks (like tequila, calamansi, and orange blossom).”
