This is the old Johnston & Murphy space across from Metro Center that we first heard about back in July.
They’ve now applied for an outdoor cafe permit. Good news come springtime. Stay tuned for an exact opening date!
This will be their 4th D.C. location, with Logan Circle being their 5th. Update when we get an exact opening date.

“I ran an errand to Bed Bath and Beyond in Chinatown and the cashier told me that as of today they are a “liquidation store” and that they will be closing (I didn’t get the date). I told her I didn’t know that and she said that employees had just heard today themselves. I am not heartbroken by the store closing, but I definitely feel bad for the employees, especially this time of year. Thought I would share especially after what happened with La Tasca across the street.”

An employee of Del Frisco’s Grille tells us “we just got told we are shutting down in 2 weeks.”
Ed. Note: D.C. also has a Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House located in CityCenter – no word on any changes for that location.
