A reader reports: “gunshots at 5th and M NW. Neighbor texted a kid was taken away in an ambulance”

Alan Henney reported: “TEEN SHOT — 5th St at M St NW DC. 17yo boy has a gunshot wound to his arm. No suspect info yet.”

From MPD: “Alert: 3D is on the scene of a confirmed shooting in the 1200 block of 5th street, NW Lookout juvenile black male, wearing all black (hoodie, mask and pants) last seen running down M St, NW towards 4th St http://NW.DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911 W/ EVENT #I20220568370”

“Dear PoPville,

I am hoping to find a witness to the car crash I was in on Wednesday evening, around 5pm in Dupont.

I was driving southbound on 16th street, attempting to make a left hand turn on Q just outside the Jewish community center. There was quite a bit of traffic, and the large white truck traveling the opposite direction waved me through to make the turn. At this time, a black Kia Niro came speeding down the bus lane (which is illegal to drive in during the hours of 3:30-7:30pm) and T-boned me, totaling my black Prius. (more…)

“The Fourth District is investigating an ADW-Gun that occurred on 11/9/22 at approximately 4:30 P.M. in the 5700 block of Colorado Ave NW. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was immediately transported to a local hospital for further treatment. (more…)

“On Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at approximately 4:23pm, collaborative efforts by US Capitol Police, First District’s Crime Suppression Team, and MPD’s air support responded to the 100 block of M ST SE where they made the arrest of three individuals for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle.
