Alan Henney reported: “TEEN SHOT — 5th St at M St NW DC. 17yo boy has a gunshot wound to his arm. No suspect info yet.”
From MPD: “Alert: 3D is on the scene of a confirmed shooting in the 1200 block of 5th street, NW Lookout juvenile black male, wearing all black (hoodie, mask and pants) last seen running down M St, NW towards 4th St http://NW.DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911 W/ EVENT #I20220568370”
Update from MPD:
“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the 1200 block of 5th Street, Northwest.
At approximately 8:44 am, members of the Third District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located a juvenile male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and can be seen in the photo below:
