Thanks to Dave for sending: “Dupont Circle power outage. Basically all of the buildings/businesses west of Connecticut seem to be out, with some on the east side too. Traffic lights also out with vehicles/pedestrians unsure what to do.
A collection of handwritten closure signs – snapped these photos on my walk to the Sunday farmers’ market. Affected businesses include Sweetgreen, taïm, AT&T, Bibibop, Panera, CVS, La Tomate, Secondi, Dolcezza (on National Ice Cream day no less!).” (more…)

Update: 5pm: “[AlertDC] PEPCO reports the utility repairs are complete and power has been restored to the affected customers in the northwest area of the District of Columbia.”
Update: “[AlertDC] PEPCO reports a power outage in the northwest area of the District of Columbia, near Dupont Circle, affecting approximately 1,729 customers. The cause of the outage is under evaluation with an undetermined time for restoration. Customers with questions may contact PEPCO on 1-877-737-2662.”

The Juvenile Curfew Emergency Amendment Act of 2025 gives the Chief of the Metropolitan Police Department the authority to order a Juvenile Curfew Zone in an area where large groups of youths are gathering or intend to gather in a manner that poses a risk of substantial harm to public safety.

OK first the hype for Bar Cana (pictured above) is for real. It is legit. There is a reason it’s difficult to get a seat. It’s worth the wait. Yo! The food is so ridiculously good. Honestly, and I’m a drinker, the food blew me away. Having said that, the drinks were damn good too. Loving the Brazilian vibe. My goodness. The music. The people. The staff. Ah man, I love when good spots meet the hype. Only drawback is it’s a bit on the pricey side but what isn’t these days.
