“The Walter E. Washington Convention Center will host Awesome Con from April 4 through April 6, 2025. Estimated attendance is 25,500. For more information, visit here.

Friday, April 4: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday, April 5: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday, April 6: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We anticipate an increase in WMATA ridership (particularly on the Yellow and Green lines at the Mount Vernon Square/Seventh Street Convention Center station) and greater demand for taxis/rideshares. This event will generate substantial (more…)

A New Whiskey Bar is opening inside DCity Smokehouse’s Anacostia location!

This establishment is part of a local chain celebrated for its award-winning selection of smoked meats, which includes brisket, ribs, pork belly, and their renowned wings. The new whiskey bar will feature a curated selection of bourbons, whiskeys, and ryes, carefully chosen to complement the flavors of their smoked meats.
