“I saw this today. Under the new Wolfgang Puck Bites place. This went up in the past day or so. I think the pink is a little much, but at the same time, if something is moving into the space, I’m good with any color.”

“Dear PoPville,

I’m wondering if anyone else has been experiencing a recent rash of trash can thefts.

I’ve lived in the same building in Capitol Hill for the past 4+ years and never had any issues, but in less than a year we’ve now had our city trash can mysteriously disappear three times (on June 23, April 13, and May 26). Grand Hyatt Washington is opening a new dining concept, Oribu, on June 26, 2026.

Named after the Japanese word for olive, a symbol of nourishment and quiet strength, Oribu draws inspiration from the historic trade routes connecting Asia to the Mediterranean, blending Japanese culinary precision with Mediterranean richness. The interior mirrors this cultural journey with a curving rattan chandelier that guides guests from a Japanese-inspired bar through vibrant interiors evoking the Mediterranean coastline.”
