Current Boutique coming to the former Piccolo restaurant space

Back in 2023 Piccolo suffered a significant fire that required closing/major renovations. Plans were to reopen but Eater reported “Owners of Georgetown’s Ristorante Piccolo Sentenced for Stealing COVID-19 Funds.”

Fire at Chicatana on 14th Street Last Night – “Cause of fire is accidental/mechanical in nature”

Thanks to Steve for sending from outside Chicatana around 2:45am: “There were a bunch of fire and other emergency vehicles there. I was surprised to see so many.”

DC Fire and EMS reported: “Final Update: Box Alarm – 3900 Block of 14th Street NW

All fire contained to kitchen.

Cause of fire is accidental/mechanical in nature. @DC_DOB, @_DCHealth, and @PepcoConnect requested to scene.

I’m wondering what happened at the Little Words Project (a bracelet making store) on Wisconsin in Georgetown? We went there today (Tuesday 6/24) and it was closed with a sign on the door (see attached photo) saying it was permanently closed and “pray for us.” (more…)

“Went to Tiffany’s Bar and Bistro. Quick review: really large space, including a big dining and bar space upstairs and a patio. We got the hummas app, scallop and chicken entrees. Food was really solid (chicken > scallops imo). Service was great (s/o Fatima). Value-wise it was ish but reasonable for a spot aiming for fine dining.
