A few weeks ago we learned that Toku Sushi would be closing on U Street and looking for a new location. Looks like they landed in Adams Morgan at Hilo which opened right before the pandemic in December 2019.

“Dear PoPville,
I wanted to put it out to the community that there was a man in Kalorama park Wednesday night who was either on a phone call or pretending to be on a phone call for the entirety of a friend’s yoga class. When we were seeming to be not paying attention or in a down dog position he was noticeably taking photos or videos of us. When this was blatantly obvious I approached him and asked if that was what he was doing, which he said yes but he only took one photo and it was because he used to do yoga and thought we were very accomplished and wanted to show a friend. “Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) today celebrated the announcement that the fencing around the Capitol Building grounds, erected after the January 6th attack on the Capitol, will be removed. The removal will start as soon as tomorrow and is expected to take three days. Norton has long worked to remove the fencing at the Capitol complex, both for its symbolism against open and democratic government and to restore access to roads and walkways for D.C. residents, emergency services, mail delivery, and local businesses. She also introduced a bill to prohibit federal funding from being used to install permanent fencing at the Capitol complex. (more…)

Back in April we learned that Duffy’s was opening a 2nd location in Dupont (first location is on H Street, NE via Shaw.) The Dupont location is the former home to Thai Pho Bistro, (also named at points Saigon Bistro Pho and EurAsian) which closed last summer.
