MPD releases video of last night’s shooting at 14th and Riggs Street, NW

From MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District seek the public’s assistance in locating suspects and a vehicle in reference to an Assault With Intent to Kill (Gun) offense that occurred on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the area of 14th and Riggs Street, Northwest.

At approximately 8:21 pm, members of the Third District heard the sounds of gunshots and responded to the listed location. Upon arrival, members located two adult male victims, both conscious and breathing, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Katie asks: “any scuttlebutt about Hanumanh reopening. It’s one of my favorites and I miss its presence in my neighborhood greatly.”

Chef/Owner Boby Pradachith tells me: “We are targeting late summer/early fall reopening for Hanumanh.”

Thanks to MD, Jonathan and John for sending and update on the status of Masonic Temple Development: “equipment has arrived and part of the fence and decorative shrubbery is being removed.”

Nick asks:

“I noticed some construction going on behind the Freemason Temple on 16th street. I know there’s been a push to build apartments/condos on that property – to which the neighborhood has been against. Curious if anyone knows if the complex got approved or if the construction/landscaping is unrelated.”
