Reader Reports: Tacos El Chilango closed on V Street Last Night

1119 V Street, NW

Jeff reports: “Saw the owner of Tacos El Chilango tonight (Tuesday) and he told me tonight is their last night. The Arlington location (a food truck I think) is remaining open.”

A call to the restaurant this morning rings without a voicemail option.

Tacos El Chilango opened in 2012 next to Izakaya Seki on V Street.

Their Facebook says:

“The most authentic, delicious Mexican tacos in the DC area.

Tacos available include steak, chicken, al pastor(pork with pineapple and onion), chorizo and beef tongue, Vegetarian tacos include cheese with green pepper, avocado or mushrooms. Tacos served with double soft corn tortilla, chopped onions and cilantro and veggies on the side. Fresh guacamole and homemade salsas. Mexican beers.”

Updates as more is known.
