“I am heartbroken to share that a bicyclist was hit and killed near Rhode Island Ave NW in Logan Circle this afternoon. MPD says the crash involved a truck and a bicyclist.
I am sending my deepest condolences to the loved ones of the person who was tragically killed in this crash. MPD will release more information once available.”

N Street between 10 and 11th NW
“Dear PoPville,
Every day I walk my dog I see new shattered car windows – and this happened to my car the same week the national guard started to patrol the city last year.
Here we are more than a year later and I still see the cops talking to people who’ve called 911 because they’re experiencing the very same thing on the same block. Just saw it again.
I’ve attached photos of fresh glass shards, and my car window’s shards from a year ago that are still living in the tree pit just steps away. (more…)

One of the favorite games I’d play with my son when he was a toddler was to ride our bike past Logan Circle on the way from Friendship Heights to Nats Park and count the pigeons roosting on Logan. 5, 10, maybe 20 on a good day. It was all good fun and today he is a math wiz. They are now gone replaced by lollygagging Federales. (more…)
