Hopefully this means a detente has been reached!!
Update on the work being done and closure of Logan Circle Park from NPS’ National Mall and Memorial Parks Chief of Communications Mike Litterst:
“Logan Circle is currently undergoing a major restoration and beautification project as part of President Trump’s DC Safe and Beautiful initiative. The centerpiece of the project is the restoration of the Major General John A. In Logan Circle developments continued, signs up this morning stating the park will be closed starting Monday.
Scuttlebutt is replacing the sidewalks and benches (which are already removed), we’ll see…”
Ed. Note: Presumably the benches will be refurbished and reinstalled as part of the refresh? That would be insane if they permanently removed the benches…

Miss Pixie’s left Logan Circle on March 31st, 2024. Pixie’s later closed in Adams Morgan at the of 2025.
Also located next door was The BodySmith (gym) which, closed here in 2022.
Thanks to Alex and John for sending the Club Pilates signage going up at the former Miss Pixie’s space in Logan Circle.
For a hot second Detroit Brick Pizza was going to takeover this prime space. There have also been some temporary pop ups but now the next long term tenant is official Club Pilates. (more…)

When I try to explain what certain street looks were like, it’s simply not possible to properly convey what once was. But this gives a taste. What a transformation at 11th and O Street, NW. While I was getting photos of the new Haitian spot coming this summer, this corner totally jumped out at me. I happened to pass a photo from our archives recently and it staggered me.
