“Dear PoPville,

We live in NE (Ft.Totten/Lamond Riggs area) and when my husband was taking our dog out he found these empty 9mm shell casings in our backyard. We are not gun owners and we have no idea where they came from. That said, we were wondering if there was anything we should do with these other than just dispose of them, like notify law enforcement or some other entity? I’m sure this sort of thing happens a lot all over DC and we figured we’d see if anyone else has any thoughts on this.”

“Dear PoPville,

My family is looking to buy our first home in DC and as with most DC-related research, I always check your site. Luckily for me, I found a post on your website from 7 years ago about the Lamond-Riggs area. Now 7 years later, I wonder if there’s been any major changes to the neighborhood in terms of safety, walkability, schools, and things to do. A revisit 7 years later would be super appreciated! Thanks so much!”
