From MPD:

“On April 28, 2017 at approximately 7:30 pm, a 911 call was received for the sounds of gunshots in the 1400 Block of Wisconsin Avenue NW. Second District units responded to the location and were unable to locate a victim or crime scene.

Shortly thereafter, a victim arrived at GW Hospital suffering from a minor injury. A preliminary investigation revealed that this incident did not involve the victim being a target of a crime. This investigation is ongoing and there is no perceived danger to the community.”

So what are the options here? Man shoots self? Shot by a friend? Stray bullet?

Back in March of 2016 Washington Business Journal reported:

“We are told it will be a grilled cheese-focused joint called (wait for it) “Say Cheese.” Work in the 865-square-foot space will include new walls, floors, ceilings, HVAC and a kitchen hood. The cafe will seat 14, but have an occupancy of 45.”

Looking pretty close:

“Dear PoPville,

I was sideswiped by a large black SUV on Water St. near 30th on Friday morning at about 7:45. The driver did stop, but I believe he may have misrepresented what happened, because I (cyclist) was given a ticket (at the hospital while I was awaiting getting stitches) for changing lanes without caution (I was not changing lanes). I am seeking any witnesses to the accident.”

If you witnessed this incident please email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP. Thanks.

A reader reports:

“I just stopped in today and was informed by the staff that unfortunately this wonderful place of joy is closing for good. I loved coming here, the staff was always nice expecially the manager. I just thought I’d share with readers, they’re having a 40% off sale and closing their doors for good on Monday at 6 pm. This was the last Godiva in DC left after Union Station & Connecticut Avenue previously closed : ( ”

It’s ok, just think of Uncle Joe.
