“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting inside of a building in the 1100 block of Massachusetts Ave NW. An adult male is being treated at an area hospital for a gunshot wound to the torso.

Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

Acadiana closed after many years on Dec. 31st 2018.

In October 2018 we posted some scuttlebutt that Miami’s Yardbird Southern Table & Bar could be coming to D.C. Scuttlebutt confirmed! Yardbird’s website says opening 2021. Check out their Miami menus here and stay tuned.

Biked from the Hill to Penn Quarter on Tuesday night about 11pm and thought it was odd I couldn’t see the bike lanes in the dark.

And then walked along Penn by the Navy Memorial and the Archives (Penn and 7th NW) yesterday and realized both the lane markings and protective poles are gone between the Capitol and the White House.
