From MPD 7:46pm: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the1000 Block of Otis Place NW. No lookout at this time”
From MPD: “On January 16, 2021, at approximately 7:22 pm, members of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the 3500 block of 14th Street NW for a shooting. Once on the scene a victim was located with a one gunshot wound. The Victim was treated at a local hospital and the Fourth District Detective’s office is investigating the incident.

“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 1200 block of Euclid St NW inside of a residence. An adult male and an adult female have both been transported to area hospitals with gunshot wounds to the upper body.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”
MPD tweeted: “Shooting in the 1200 block of Euclid St NW Lookout is for a B/M in his 20’s, long dreads style hair wearing an orange jacket hoodie.”

“The Fourth District is investigating a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at approximately 1:00 PM in the 1300 block of Oak Street NW. The suspect is described as a black male 16-21 years old, 5’5″-5″6″, wearing a black and grey camouflaged jacket, with a short hair cut and blue jeans. He was last seen running in the 1300 block of Oak Street NW. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department at 202-727-9099 or Text 50411.”

Readers started reporting just after 11pm: “I just heard gun shots at around 11:05pm followed by about 3 more at 11:08pm. I’m at 13th and Euclid by Cardozo.”
“I heard about 8 shots from my place near Columbia and 11th about 5 minutes ago.”
“Maybe 7-10 gunshots. Heard just now near 14th and Harvard in Columbia Heights.”
