That was fast! Last week we learned that Indian street food was coming to Cleveland Park. Bardeo has now been papered over and the Bindaas signage is up. Hopefully an opening date isn’t too far behind for the new concept.

Indique is open seven days a week – Monday through Thursday 5:30PM – 10:30PM, Friday Noon – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 11:00PM, Saturday Noon – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 11:00PM, and Sunday 11:00AM – 3:00PM, and 5:30PM – 10:30PM. Happy Hour is available Monday through Friday 4:30PM – 6:30PM. In addition, Indique is planning on launching their new weekend brunch to include a special menu on both Saturday’s and Sunday’s later this month.”

Finally some good restaurant news for Cleveland Park (RIP Palena) from the Washington Post:
“Expect to see kati rolls (wraps, such as one with pork), pao (a kind of sandwich on a soft buttery bun) and kabobs (such as pathar gosht with lamb) among the offerings. Also: uttapam, a fermented rice pancake, and bhel puri, a sweet and savory snack with raw mangoes, lentils and puffed rice. Prices will range from $9 to $14.
Bindaas will occupy less than half of the current Ardeo + Bardeo space on Connecticut Avenue NW. The new venture will seat 50 diners…”
