Al Volo expanding its empire. Soleluna is replacing that nitrogen ice cream shop Across the street from Al Volo and Taqueria Al Lado on Columbia rd.
Saw the owner who I’ve met a few times chatted with him a bit but didn’t get any updates on menu.
They are “hoping” to open on Friday.”

I wanted to warn the other young women of the Dupont Circle/ lower AdMo area (approx. New Hampshire and Riggs) of a man that assaulted me, and other women in the area over the weekend.
He came up from behind me on foot, grabbed my butt, tried to grab under my jacket, feeling around for my belt line/waist area. It lasted all of about 45 seconds before I started screaming loud enough that people noticed and he walking off by foot. (more…)

Update on the D Light Cafe fire from DC Fire and EMS:
“#DCsBravest Fire investigation Unit has made an arrest related to an incendiary fire Jan. 27 at 1875 18th St. NW, a commercial establishment. A joint investigation with @DCPoliceDept led to the identification of the subject, who is charged with arson.
#DCsBravest thank the community for assistance with information that led to the identification of this individual. Arson is a dangerous crime that can cause serious injuries and death, as well as major property damage.”
