One of my favorites from Park Road, NW just west of Mt. Pleasant Street.
While we’ve since this great Bloomingdale carriage house before – I just noticed the new signage (Bloomingdale Court was inaugurated back in March ’10.)
Yesterday we saw one of my favorites from Bloomingdale – today is one of my favorites from Mt. Pleasant. It usually gets a pretty sweet garden as well later in the summer.
It’s time for my yearly posting of this Bloomingdale beauty. One of my top 10 favorite houses in the city.
This is the absolute coolest house I saw during my recent trek in Forest Hills (by Van Ness.) The photo above makes it look like a little hut and it took me a little time to realize that to the sides are actually a green roof. So cool.

I stumbled across some more awesome ones from Forest Hills. Kinda hard to tell how wild this one is with all the trees but you get a rough idea. What do you think – 50s, 60s or 70s?
This one from Ledroit Park is super unique. I don’t think I’ve seen this style anywhere else in the city.
I wish I took a before photo of this Adams Morgan row house. It looks pretty ordinary but was a huge restoration. They did an amazing job. I’ll be sure to post as a GDoN if it goes for sale.
