Oh no. In late September we learned that Logan Antiques was papered over on the lower level.
It is indeed very sad news:

“Dear PoPville,
The motorcyclist that died in this crash was Romain Picou. Romain died Wednesday morning driving to work on Kansas Avenue NW, when a car turning left from Madison entered the one lane road and Romain’s lane. Romain hit the passenger door and was thrown off of his motorcycle. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Romain died from his.
Romain was my friend and a brother. I simply don’t have the words to convey the character, class, and charisma he carried with him everywhere he went. His light was snuffed too soon and while it breaks my heart, I am honored to have known him. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
I’m looking for tips on researching the history of our 20-unit building in Woodley Park. I’m pretty sure (but not 100% sure) that the building turns 100 years old next year, and it would be nice to do something to commemorate the occasion. It would also be cool to learn about the building’s history and if there have been any interesting occupants. Where should I start?”
Ed. Note: I’d say head to DCPL’s Washingtoniana location in Van Ness.

Tuesday at 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
