“Dear PoPville,
These people rented an Airbnb next to my building and threw a birthday party with at least a dozen people not social distancing. Super loud.
But that’s not all. They actually lit a damn firepit on a wooden balcony and pushed it into the corner to allow more people outside…moving the flames directly against the wooden bannisters and under the wooden stairs!!!
People on surrounding balconies were telling them to put it out and a drunk girl just kept yelling (without a mask on) “ok Karen! Ok Karen! Ok Karen! Have a good night Karen!”
The fire dept came and made them put it out…and the same girl started yelling AT THE FIREMEN, “you’re ruining my birthday!! Thanks for ruining my birthday!!” She then proceeded to scream obscenities at random balconies. (more…)

Thanks to Daria for sharing the fundraiser:
“Several of my dear friends including and their 4 year old daughter, as well as our amazing friend Tony have been displaced by the large fire that took place early on Friday morning at 1st Pl NE. Giselle, who is an incredible friend and pediatric PT (and known as Gafanhota to her capoeira community), had to jump from a 3rd story window and suffered a broken pelvis, vertebrae, and arm. Both the Green family and Tony have been displaced by this event and are without the vast majority of their belongings due to smoke damage. We’re raising money to help them out as many expenses as possible over the coming months.” (more…)
